A few weeks back, my drawing class went to Dieu Donne Papermill to have a paper making workshop. We finally received the fruits of our labour:
nice! how did you do the first one? are the colours done by dyeing the paper when its wet?
they prepared the pulp for us before hand with the colour. we had screens that we used to drag up the wet pulp from the tub. so i did the yellow base first and squeezed some black pulp pigment onto it. then they had this lacy thing so i did the same thing as i did with the base except i put the lacy thing on top and washed off all the other parts of it so that only that part of the pulp remained and just had to put it on top of the base!
hmm okay, i think i roughly get it. so fun!
