Just remembered…

… that I didn’t post any pictures of the creative project I did for Visuality and Modern Art I (Art History class) last semester. It was a small-scale mixed media installation that serves as a visual comparison of the works of two American photographers: Carleton Watkins (19th Century landscape photographer) and Alfred Stieglitz (one of the earliest photographers of the Manhattan urbanscape). It was an attempt to point out the formalistic similarities in their work, despite the different subject matter, in order to identify the quality of the ‘picturesque’ in both works.

Materials: IKEA picture frames, white thread, inkjet transparency film
