I dreamt we weren’t together.
We were nothing
More than physically adjacent biological constructs.
Interacting with the exact same group of agents but
Not with each other.
We did nothing
More than exist separately in the same space.
Each acutely aware of the other’s presence,
The need to avoid it, the glass wall.
We said nothing
More than words that did not come to mind.
Erased and — I woke up.
I dreamt what was real.
