Step 1: Mentally, imagine these sounds.
- Paper tearing
- Glass shattering
- Cars screeching to a halt
- Styrofoam grating
- High-pitched laughing
- Things falling to the ground
Step 2: Isolate that internal convulsion you get when you hear these sounds.
Step 3: Add in the feeling of 3-4 paper cuts for good measure.
Step 4: Magnify that by at least 7 times (depending on intensity of feeling).
And this is what you might get just a hint of —
- Eyes tearing
- Trust shattering
- Dreams screeching to a halt
- Jealousy grating
- Forced false laughing
- Heart falling to the ground
Step 5: Now, you can wonder why with so much pain,
I can’t seem to move on.
